The tribes in Oklahoma today came to Indian Territory from their homelands in over 25 states across the country. In addition to Oklahoma, educators from the following states may find this website particularly relevant: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, Missouri, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
